Julian Leff

We at IFT were so sorry to hear that Professor Julian Paul Leff, aged 82, died at home on Tuesday 23 February, 2021. Dr Leff had a huge impact on the adult mental health field and family therapy, being a pioneer in social psychiatry. He was an advocate of issues related to migration and the role family plays in the life of an individual whether they have mental illness or not. He was a strong advocate for systemic practice throughout his career.

Our founder member Alan Cooklin will be writing here about his friend and colleague in future posts.
