Amanda started her career as a social worker, after generic work focusing on mental health and was fortunate to work within early Crisis intervention teams using a systemic model.

Once trained in systemic family psychotherapy she has been able to bring a systemic voice and practice when working across the whole lifespan in mental health services, with asylum seekers, with Children Looked After, with adult inpatients, with adolescent inpatients and in Open Dialogue Crisis intervention. Her interests remain with how we think about mental health, and how we relate that to the family/ network system and what enables good mental health
