Ambeya Begum  works  as a KYC analyst with the Silicon Valley Bank. As the only girl, and eldest child in a Bengali family, she cared  for her mother, who suffered severe mental illness, as well as  for her family. She has worked as an ‘experience’ counsellor, was Young Carers National NHS England champion, and sat on the NHS Roundtable on the needs of Children of Parents with Mental Illness.
