Nadia Galvani

Principal Social Worker, Qualified Practice Educator, Family Systemic Psychotherapist

Nadia is a Principal Social Worker and is currently employed in a London borough in a frontline Child Protection service. Nadia has a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Social Work and is also a qualified Practice Educator. She has supported the learning and development of student social workers and newly qualified social workers in Child Protection teams. Nadia is a qualified Family and Systemic Psychotherapist and trained at the Institute of Family Therapy. Nadia has over 15 years experience of working with children, young people and their families and has worked in various social care settings including Youth Offending, Education Welfare and Children’s Services.

Nadia has a specific interest in linking systemic ideas to social work practice. After noticing there was a gap in the market for resources that attended to this in an accessible way, along with two other systemically trained social worker friends, Fran and Eugene, she co-created and co-hosts, The Social Matters Podcast.
