Robert McCandless is an academic tutor at IFT. He is CAMHS Head of Psychology and Psychotherapies for a London NHS Mental Health Trust. His current clinical work is in a community eating disorders service for children and young people. His background is in social work, and in particular direct work with young people. He qualified as a systemic psychotherapist at IFT in 1996. His 2009 doctoral thesis explored the development of reflexive abilities in systemic training supervision, focusing on the experience of training supervisors.
