The SAFE Community of Practice aims to meet on termly basis to bring together systemic practitioners with an interest in educational provision for networking, training, resourcing and advocacy for inclusive, compassionate and holistic schools and colleges.
For this session we will be joined by Kim Pearce (Co-Founder and President, The CMM Institute and co-developer of CosmoKidz and CosmoTweenz) and Abbie VanMeter (co-developer of CosmoParents and podcast host of Stories Lived. Stories Told). Kim and Abbie will share developments in The CMM Institute’s Cosmo line of activities for young children through parenting aimed at improving the social and emotional well-being of children and the adults in their lives.

Alastair PearsonCPD ContributorAlastair is currently systemic psychotherapist in a CAMHS Social Care Team. He was previously Joint Service Lead for the Tower Hamlets Education Wellbeing Service, having worked in a wide range of social work and CAMHS settings. He was an advisor on the NICE Quality Standard Committee on physical and mental wellbeing in schools, and served as a school Chair of Governors. He qualified as a Systemic Psychotherapist with IFT, where he is a Trustee and Chair of the Ethics Committee. He is a member of AFT’s Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Committee and co-edited an edition of Context exploring systemic practice in schools.
